Instructions
Instructions
(0/8)
1
Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a bowl.
2
Slice your steak into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Mix the steak into the marinade and set aside for at least 20-30 minutes (but don't marinate too long - your beef will get tough!)
3
While the beef marinates, create your sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
4
Blanch the broccoli in hot water for about a minute, then drain and set aside.
5
When your beef is done marinating, heat a large wok over high heat. Stir fry the beef until golden brown - about 3-4 minutes - then set aside. Work in batches if needed.
6
Add the garlic and shallot to the same wok and cook until fragrant. There should be enough oil in the pan from cooking the steak, but add a little extra oil if needed.
7
Add in the broccoli and sauté for about a minute. Then, add the rice and sauce; sauté for a couple more minutes.
8
Put the beef back in the pan and mix everything together.
Tips
Ribeye works great here, as should any tender cut of meat. Something like flank may end up being a little too tough.
Use day old rice!
