Korean Beef Bowls

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsps brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 head broccoli
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Sesame seeds to taste
  • 4 green onions
  • White rice
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Gochujang

Instructions

  1. 1.Combine soy sauce, 2 tablespoons water, brown sugar, sesame oil, and pepper flakes in a bowl.
  2. 2.Heat a wok over high heat. Once hot, spray with cooking oil and cook the beef until no longer pink.
  3. 3.Add onion, garlic, and ginger and cook for another minute, until soft.
  4. 4.Add broccoli to the wok and pour sauce over. Mix together, then cover and simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. 5.Serve with white rice and gochujang sauce. Top with sesame seeds.
